STEM Learning Program

Whitewater Academy and Whitewater Middle STEM Learning Program, Charlotte, NC.   

Jeffie Hardin, Educational Program Coordinator for EEIF, developed an innovative hands-on, school garden learning program.   This initial program has developed into hands-on learning labs that have helped improved student’s scores in science and math at several area elementary and middle schools.

The Whitewater school gardens and a future small community farm are among the many hands-on learning experiences that are being developed by Rivendell Farms of the Carolinas and EEIF.    Ultimately, the school garden program will give students of all ages and skill levels an opportunity to learn life skills that will benefit them a lifetime.
